At 0607 hours on March 22, 2009, Bronx box 3084 was transmitted for a report of fire in a bar at the corner of Westchester and East Tremont Avenues. Squad Company 61 and Battalion 20 arrived and were confronted with a fire in a one story taxpayer. Within minutes, Battalion 20 transmitted the 2nd alarm with a request for two additional tower ladders. Tower Ladders 54 and 58 were assigned. Numerous handlines and several tower ladders with a third alarm assignment were required to place the fire under control.
