Queens 22-1668 (04/02/06) : On Wednesday April 26, 2006, the Howard Beach section of Queens was again the scene of a multiple alarm brush fire. Shortly before 1930 hrs, Queens box 1668 was transmitted for 161 Avenue and 83 Street for a large area of brush. Engine 331 arrived shortly thereafter and transmitted the 10-75 followed by a 2nd alarm. The brush was now threatening houses.
