Engine 52, Engine 23 and Squad 3 were assigned to respond as relief to a 2nd alarm fire on Navahoe. Enroute on East Jefferson, Engine 52 came across a one story 100x100 commercial building fully involved and requested the box. A subsequent request for DPD was made for traffic control. Squad 3 was redirected to the fire.

From what it looked like, the building exploded prior to fire department arrival. Bricks and pieces of the building were found 50-100 ft. in a vacant lot opposite the fire building.
